Error analysis of the students’ English written descriptive text

Making errors is a natural process of learning. Writing as productive skill important for students to express their ideas. However, conducted in the skills. Therefore, this study intended find out types made by written English. This employed qualitative method where Error Analysis was implemented. The subject first grade SMAN 1 Abdya and object were found population research all which consists 208 from programs 25 % populations taken sample. To collect data, tests conducted. test shows percentage writing errors, including omission 58.38%, misformation with total 16.48%, misordering error 13.89%, addition 11.26%. when omitted 'to be' main verb. Second, tend add 'to' after modal auxiliaries such 'can' or 'will'. Third, happened could not form verb correctly. Last, produced put words randomly. Consequently, it discovered that impacted native language, interlanguage move.
